Eouplocephalus
Euoplocephalus, (E. tutus, 'Well-armored head') lived in the Campanian Age of the Upper Cretaceous (between 99.6 million and 65.5 million years ago).
Euoplocephalus was a well-armored herbivore against predatory dinosaurs like Gorgosaurus, since it had a fairly forceful weapon; a huge bone club on its tail that weighed more than 30 kg.
It could weigh 3000 kg and measure approx. 6 m in length and 1.8 m in height and two species of Eouplocephalus are currently known: Eouplocephalus tutus and Eouplocephalus magniventris.
The latest available studies reveal that apart from using their clubs as a defense against predators, they evolved to fight each other.
Eouplocephalus is believed to have lived in what is now North America, specifically in the region that is now Montana, United States. There, it would have lived in forest and grassland habitats, along with other dinosaurs such as Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus rex.
The Model Pose represents an Eouplocephalus walking through one of the meadows that made up its habitat in a relatively warm climate.
