Aquilolamna milarcae
Aquilolamna milarcae is an extinct species of shark that lived during the Late Cretaceous, approximately 70 to 65 million years ago. This prehistoric shark is known for its distinctive "crossbow" shape, characterized by very large, triangular-shaped pectoral fins.

Its fossil remains were discovered in the López de Bertodano Formation on Seymour Island in Antarctica. This species of shark is considered one of the rarest and most surprising fossils found in Antarctica.

Aquilolamna milarcae was a moderately sized shark compared to some of the largest extant shark species. It was a shark that was wider than it was long, measuring 1.9 meters from side to side and 1.6 meters in length. Its distinctive morphology suggests that it may have been an agile and fast swimmer, adapted to its habitat in Cretaceous oceans.
