Deinocheirus

Deinocheirus mirificus is a species of theropod dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous period, approximately 70 million years ago. Although relatively little is known about this dinosaur, fossils have been found that give us a general idea of its appearance.

Deinocheirus mirificus was a large dinosaur. It is estimated that it reached a length of around 11 meters and a weight of approximately 6 tons. It had a robust and muscular body, with long and strong hind legs that allowed it to move with agility and speed.

One of the most distinctive features of Deinocheirus mirificus is its extremely long arms. These arms reached a disproportionately long length compared to the rest of his body, measuring more than 2 meters. They were equipped with large, curved claws, which were probably used to obtain food from tree branches or tear vegetation.

Its head was large and elongated, with a long, narrow muzzle. It had a strong jaw with numerous sharp teeth, indicating that it was a carnivore. Its eyes were relatively small compared to the size of its head.

The skin of Deinocheirus mirificus is unknown, as no preserved soft tissue fossils have been found. However, it is speculated that it could have had scales or feathers on certain parts of its body.

Approximate measurements of the Deinocheirus:

  • 1:72 scale - 155 mm long
  • 1:35 scale - 315 mm long
