Isisaurus colberti
Isisaurus colberti is the only known species of the extinct Isisaurus ("Indian Statistical Institute lizard") genus of titanosaurian sauropod dinosaur, which lived in the late Cretaceous period, approximately 70 million years ago, in the Maastrichtian.

This dinosaur was discovered in the Lameta Formation in India and was named after the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), where some of the fossil material was studied. The type species is Isisaurus colberti, specifically named in honor of the American paleontologist Edwin H. Colbert.

Isisaurus shared the typical characteristics of titanosaurs, being a massive dinosaur with a long neck and tail. The lack of complete fossil material makes it difficult to determine its exact size, but it is estimated that it was one of the largest titanosaurs.

As a herbivorous dinosaur, Isisaurus is believed to have fed on plants, using its long neck to reach vegetation. Its existence contributed to the diversity of ecosystems in the Late Cretaceous in India, sharing its environment with other dinosaur species.

Approximate measurements of the Isisaurus:
  • Scale 1:100 (Full replica)
    • Length 126mm
    • Height 65 mm
    • Snout-tail length 143 mm

  • Scale 1:35
    • Length 360mm
    • Height 184mm
    • Snout-tail length 420 mm
