Majungasaurus crenatissimus
Majungasaurus crenatissimus is a theropod dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous period, approximately 70 to 66 million years ago, in what is now Madagascar. This dinosaur is known to be one of the few abelisaurid theropods that have been discovered on this island.

Majungasaurus was a formidable carnivore, with an estimated length of around 7 to 8 meters and a weight of about 1,000 to 1,500 kilograms. It was characterized by its robust and short skull, adorned with sharp, recurved teeth, as well as its powerful jaws that allowed it to tear the flesh of its prey.

One of the most interesting aspects of Majungasaurus is the evidence of cannibalism between individuals of the same species. Fossils have been found with bite marks that suggest these dinosaurs fed on each other, indicating fierce competition for resources in their habitat.

In addition to its role as a predator, it is believed that Majungasaurus may also have been an opportunistic scavenger, taking advantage of the remains of dead animals to supplement its diet.

Approximate measurements of the Majungasaurus:
  • Scale 1:35 - Complete
    • Length 220 mm
    • Height 87 mm
    • Width 42 mm
    • Snout-tail length 228 mm
