Magnapaulia laticaudus
Magnapaulia lauticaudus is the only known species of the extinct genus Magnapaulia, a lambeosaurine ornithopod dinosaur that inhabited North America towards the end of the Cretaceous period, about 75 million years ago, during the Campanian. This fascinating animal was part of the lambeosaurine group, characterized by its distinctive hollow cranial crests, which are believed to have both communicative and display functions within its species.

The Magnapaulia is estimated to have been of considerable size, although exact details regarding its length and weight may vary depending on additional analysis and discoveries. However, as a typical member of the lambeosaurine ornithopods, it is likely to have had a length of more than 12 meters and a weight that could have exceeded several tons.

One of the most notable characteristics of this dinosaur is its wide and robust tail, which has earned it the specific name "lauticaudus." This tail may have played an important role in the animal's balance and locomotion, as well as visual communication within its social group.

Approximate measurements of the Magnapaulia:
  • Scale 1:72 - Two-piece assembly kit
    • Length 156mm
    • Height 70mm
    • Snout-tail length 167 mm

  • Scale 1:35 - Two-piece assembly kit
    • Length 320mm
    • Height 145mm
    • Snout-tail length 342 mm
