Mercuriceratops gemini is a ceratopsian dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 77 million years ago , in what is now North America. Its fossils have been found in geological formations in Montana (United States) and Alberta (Canada), suggesting that it inhabited a wide region of the Laramidian ecosystem. It was formally described in 2014 and is distinguished by one of the most unusual features among ceratopsians: a lateral expansion in its frill that gives it a unique appearance.
This herbivorous dinosaur belonged to the Chasmosaurinae subfamily, characterized by long skulls and prominent, slitted frills. Mercuriceratops reached approximately 6 meters in length and an estimated weight of 2 tons , placing it in the middle of the ceratopsian range. Its skull, in addition to being large, featured wing-like lateral extensions on the frill, a feature never before seen in other ceratopsians. This structure may have served a display purpose, either for sexual selection, recognition between individuals of the same species, or even as a form of intimidation against predators.
The skeleton of Mercuriceratops gemini , though incomplete, suggests that it had a robust body with strong limbs, adapted to support its large size. Like other ceratopsians, it probably moved in herds and fed on low-lying plants, using its horny beak to cut vegetation. Its bony frill, in addition to its visual function, may have served as a secondary defensive structure, although it did not have spikes or aggressive ornaments like other species in the group.
The discovery of Mercuriceratops has been crucial to understanding ceratopsian diversity and evolution, as it demonstrates greater variety in frill shapes than previously thought. Its name, a reference to the Roman god Mercury for the "winged" appearance of its skull, highlights its uniqueness among horned dinosaurs. This discovery suggests that differences in cranial ornamentation among ceratopsians may have played a key role in their evolution and social behavior during the Late Cretaceous.

We are authorized distributors of all the replicas and figures we offer. We use 3D printers with 8K - 14K resolution, and high-quality resins with additives to improve hardness and flexibility, thus offering replicas of impeccable quality.
Different scales will be used to make the replicas (depending on the size of the species), although we are open to making other suggested scales upon request as long as they fit in our printing trays, for which you will have to contact us via email and request the required size.
Replicas are supplied with the option of airbrush priming in dark grey. If you require another colour, please let us know which one you prefer in the box with special instructions for the seller. Without priming, we do not guarantee that the resin will accept paint.
We also offer the option of choosing a professionally painted replica, which is agreed upon throughout its development with the painter, through a private chat available.
Complete replica (one piece): We supply complete replicas in those models that are small, and models that are medium, large or not very bulky, will have the prerogative of being presented as a complete replica or assembly kit as the case may be.
Complete replicas will be supplied separately from their base.
Replica assembly kit: We supply replicas whose models are large, very large or bulky, only with this option.
The indicated replicas (generally composed of base, head, body and tail) will come prepared for the subsequent assembly that will be required by the client, by sanding, putty, adhesive or technique chosen by the client.
All replicas are thoroughly inspected before shipping and will be carefully packaged to prevent damage during transport.

All orders are individually prepared on the cutter for subsequent prototyping, obtaining a resin part that will require post-processing by manual and ultrasonic cleaning, support removal, ultraviolet curing, labeling and packaging.
