Ornithomimus velox
Ornithomimus velox, whose name means "quick imitator," was a theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous, approximately 76-75 million years ago. This dinosaur belonged to the group of ornithomimids, known for their characteristics that resemble modern birds.

With an estimated height of around 2.2 meters and a length that could reach 4 meters, Ornithomimus velox was a bipedal dinosaur with long, thin legs, which gave it an agile appearance adapted for speed. Its light skeleton suggests that it was a fast runner, which is consistent with its name.

The most distinctive feature of Ornithomimus velox was its small, elongated head, with a toothless beak that suggested an omnivorous diet. Their large eyes indicated keen vision, possibly useful for detecting prey or staying alert for predators.

The upper limbs of Ornithomimus velox were highly specialized and adapted for manipulation. Their hands possessed three long, agile fingers with curved claws, suggesting the ability to grasp objects and possibly feed from a variety of sources, such as plants, small animals, or eggs.

This dinosaur lived in what is now North America and shared its environment with other dinosaurs, such as Tyrannosaurus rex.
Ornithomimus velox's adaptability to different food sources and its ability to move quickly made it a successful inhabitant of Late Cretaceous landscapes.
