White shark

Great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias), is a species of shark found in warm and temperate waters around the world, including the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans. It is one of the largest marine predators and has a fearsome reputation as a hunter of large marine mammals and other animals such as fish and seabirds.

The great white shark is an opportunistic predator that feeds on a wide variety of prey, including seals, sea lions, whales, dolphins, sea turtles, fish, and seabirds. Its hunting technique is characteristic, since it approaches its prey from below and attacks it with great speed and force, using its sharp teeth to tear the flesh.

The white shark can measure up to 6 meters long and weigh up to 2,250 kg, although the most common specimens are around 3 to 4 meters long. It has a broad, flat head with triangular and serrated teeth that are continually renewed throughout its life. Its body is hydrodynamic and covered by thick, hard skin with jagged scales.

The white shark is an endangered species due to excessive fishing and indiscriminate hunting to obtain its fins and jaws, used in traditional medicine and in the production of trophies. In addition, its habitat has been affected by pollution and the alteration of the marine ecosystem. Its performance in the Anthropocene, the era in which we find ourselves, has been negative, and conservation and protection efforts are needed to guarantee the survival of this iconic and fundamental species for the balance of marine ecosystems.

The Model Pose represents a specimen of Carcharodon carcharias swimming through warm and temperate waters, where it likes to develop.
